Today we had visitors from the AOK (Acts of Kindness) come with a large gift of donuts. We took the opportunity to show our AOK friends a tour of the 911 center and an explanation of the various tools and systems we use.

Thank you, AOK, for your generosity to us and for all you do in our community by spreading kindness, positivity and good deeds.

Sadly, a pedestrian is killed every 74 minutes in traffic crashes. Remember, at some point in the day EVERYONE is a pedestrian:

πŸšΆβ€βž‘οΈ Follow the rules of the road
πŸšΆβ€βž‘οΈ Use crosswalks when available
πŸšΆβ€βž‘οΈ Walk on sidewalks when available

🚘 Look out for pedestrians and minimize blind spots
🚘 Be careful in hard-to-see conditions
🚘 Yield to pedestrians in crosswalks

We’re heading into the most dangerous months of the year for bicyclists. 🚲⚠️ Sharing the road is a 2-way street.

Cyclists β€” ride defensively:
🚴 Stay visible
🚴 Ride with the flow of traffic
🚴 Be predictable

Drivers, remember to check:
πŸš— Blind spots before changing lanes
