It's Grand Island Day at the Nebraska State Fair! In honor of our city being Nebraska's favorite island since 1872, we gave away a goodie bag to the 1,872nd State Fair group this morning. Congratulations to Rilee Waters & Kimberly Terry and family. Their goodie bag includes admission to an event at BigIron Events Center, swag from Graham Tire Company, a family pass for Island Oasis Water Park and more. Grand Island volunteers will be handing out our bags throughout the day at the main gate if you need something to help carry your purchases from around the fairgrounds.

It’s officially Nebraska State Fair week, and THIS SUNDAY, August 30, is "Welcome to Grand Island Day" at the Nebraska State Fair!

In honor of Grand Island being established in 1872, the 1,872nd fairgoer will receive a special prize package!

Fairgoers will also receive complimentary bags from Grand Island's local partners who will be wearing “Nebraska’s Favorite Island” shirts.
