This not-to-be-missed annual event is set for a fantastic weekend of fun with Rochester Accessible Adventures!

Plan to drop by one or both days to try out adaptive and inclusive kayaking and cycling – and meet new friends and allies! Get directly connected with our Inclusion Partners — businesses that are ready for YOU!

When: Saturday and Sunday June 27 and 28, 11:00-2:00 both days

Understanding Section 504: Students with Disabilities in Public & Private Schools

Please join Parent to Parent of NYS, for this presentation. This training will introduce you to Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. This training is designed to provide you with an understanding of the law, how it applies to educational programs and to students with disabilities. Children who qualify under this law receive services and/ or accommodations in the public-school system without being classified under IDEA their school district’s Committee on Special Education.

Enjoy sensory-friendly dino and paleontology activities in a calm atmosphere with limited exhibit sounds throughout the Museum.

A limited number of sensory backpacks including sound dampening headphones, visual communication cards, and fidgets will be available upon request, along with dedicated quiet areas on the 1st and 4th floors and balcony.

Space is limited to the first 300 tickets reserved; pre-registration strongly encouraged.

Supported by the Exceptional Education Department at Buffalo State University.

Nonmembers: Cash: $23 per adult, $19 per child
