The Town of Grand Isle is closely monitoring the weather and preparing for expected rainfall in the coming days.
All town pumps have been inspected and are in working order. In addition, our tractor pumps are fueled, ready, and on standby should they be needed.
We encourage everyone to stay weather aware and use caution during periods of heavy rain.

On this D-Day anniversary, we remember the bravery of the Allied forces who landed on the beaches of Normandy and helped secure freedom for future generations. 🇺🇸

Louisiana has a special connection to that historic day. The Higgins boats built in New Orleans played a critical role in the invasion, helping carry thousands of troops ashore.

Today, we honor those heroes and all who have served our nation. We will never forget their sacrifice.

After all the rain, the weather turned out beautifully at Grand Isle State Park for the past couple of days! It is exciting to see the sun shining, and one could definitely appreciate this beautiful change. Waiting for awesome memories to be made! ☀️🌴 ☀️🌳
