Magic was in the air at our Clifton dining site today! Magician Dave Wallen held the diners spellbound with his many and varied magic tricks, using everything from cards, to money, to rubber bands for props.  Volunteer Max asked to be disappeared and brought back as a 30-year-old, but that request was beyond even Dave’s capabilities!

The  bingos keep coming! We’ve had several drivers who achieved a double Bingo all at once! We are going to have to bolster our chocolate bar supply for all these bingos!

At today’s staff meeting, we celebrated Ben’s birthday: he requested peanut butter pie made by Amanda… And it was delicious! Not pictured: our dietitian Holly also reviewed time and temperature food safety for the staff.

The end of an era! Today we said “see you later” to our dear program coordinator Adrienne, as she’s retiring to spend more time with her family. After 13 years she’s seen just about everything and done it all and more. She’s held hands with volunteers at the hospital, driven extra meals to clients homes, and coordinated care for people who just yelled at her. The compassion and dedication that she’s given to Meals on Wheels and this community can not be overstated. She will be greatly missed, and we wish her all the happiness in the world!

During our volunteer appreciation week, we drew a big winner from all our volunteers who have already hit a bingo. We will have to let our volunteer Janice know she won a multifunctional jump starter.

A big week at Meals on Wheels. We have special snacks for volunteers. Be sure to drop in and get some super yummy food. And we have a new volunteer at the front check in area - Sharon. We have such a great team of people here.
