Terrific author!

📚 Welcome back to “If You Haven’t Read This Yet…”, our weekly series where we pull a book off the shelf that we think deserves a spot on your TBR list!

This week’s pick: “The Calamity Club” by Kathryn Stockett, author of The Help.

Set in Oxford, Mississippi, during the Great Depression, “The Calamity Club” brings together three unforgettable characters whose lives collide in unexpected ways: Meg, an eleven-year-old girl growing up in an orphanage; Birdie, an outspoken woman determined to help the family her sister left behind; and Charlie, a woman with little left to lose.

What follows is a story about unlikely friendship, fierce women, resilience, and what can happen when people who have been pushed to the margins decide they’re done playing by everyone else’s rules.

It’s funny. It’s heartbreaking. It’s full of grit.

And after more than 15 years since The Help, Kathryn Stockett has finally given readers another novel.

If you’ve been wondering what everyone is reading right now, this is definitely one to add to the list. 📖

Already read it? Tell us what you thought. Please no spoilers!

Haven’t read it yet? Maybe this is the week!

Find “The Calamity Club” in our catalog. The link is in the comments.
