It's getting toasty out there and the water is looking very inviting. Even though water levels are low in the river this year, it is still important to follow proper river safety, including wearing a life jacket! It's also important to stay hydrated and wear your sunscreen.

We are so excited to partner with GJ BikeNight this month, with featured rides along the Riverfront Trail. Join us on June 19 for our official Bike Night Ride, stop by 544 Rood Ave at 6:45 PM to learn more about the RFT and look at maps of the different sections. Riders can also plan to meet around 7:00 PM and we will roll out when everyone is ready to ride.

While the river may look a little different this year, there are still plenty of opportunities to get outside and enjoy it.

Whether you’re floating the river and staying in the main channel to help protect sensitive exposed riverbanks, biking the Riverfront Trail with courtesy for other users, or taking a peaceful walk along the Audubon Trail, there are countless ways to connect with the outdoors.

Low water doesn’t mean less beauty, it just means experiencing our riverfront in a different way. Let’s continue to enjoy these special places while helping protect them for future generations.
