Next time you're along the water, watch for the long S-curved neck and stiletto bill in the reeds... you might be looking at one of the valley's most patient hunters!

What makes a river corridor more than just water?

Cottonwoods that need floods to grow. Wetlands that filter and buffer. Islands that reshape with the seasons. All packed with more wildlife than almost anywhere else in our valley.

Look a little closer next time you're on the trail.

One Riverfront’s last ride was a collaboration with GJ Bike Night. About 100 riders left from downtown, road to Las Colonias, played around the Butterfly Pond, crossed the Colorado River on the pedestrian bridge, and then road back on 5th Street.

Thanks for sharing the river with us!

From Loma to Palisade, our 19+ mile paved trail strings together parks, wildlife areas, and connections cared for by the City of Fruita, City of Grand Junction, Town of Palisade, Mesa County, Colorado Parks & Wildlife, Grand Valley Audubon Society, and Western Colorado nonprofits like ours, One Riverfront!
Each "pearl" along the way; Connected Lakes, Las Colonias, Corn Lake, Riverbend Park, is its own jurisdiction's piece of the puzzle. Together, they add up to over $17.5 million invested in the trail system you walk, bike, and ride.
That's the power of regional cooperation: no single city or agency could build this alone, but together, Fruita, Grand Junction, Palisade, and our county and state partners are weaving one continuous Riverfront experience.
