📚 Book Fair Information

Students will have the opportunity to visit and shop at the Book Fair September 2–10. If you would like your child to make a purchase, you may send money with them to school, and they will have an opportunity to shop during their available time throughout the school day.

Parents and guardians are also welcome to shop with their child! To help minimize disruptions to instructional time, we kindly ask that you visit the Book Fair during your child's enrichment time on Wednesday, September 2, or Thursday, September 3.

Enrichment Times

Pre-K: 8:00–8:30 AM

Kindergarten: 2:15–2:50 PM

1st Grade: 10:45–11:20 AM

2nd Grade: 1:05–1:40 PM

3rd Grade: 1:40–2:15 PM

4th Grade: 9:30–10:05 AM

5th Grade: 8:30–9:05 AM

The Book Fair will also be open during each grade level's scheduled Grandparents Day time. Grandparents and other guests attending the event are welcome to visit the Book Fair and shop with their student during that time.

WEATHER UPDATE — CAMERON PARISH SCHOOLS CLOSED TOMORROW

After consulting with Cameron Parish Office of Emergency Preparedness (OEP) officials and reviewing the most recent change in the weather forecast, all Cameron Parish School Board schools and facilities will be CLOSED tomorrow, Tuesday, September 1.

While severe impacts are not currently anticipated, the system has strengthened slightly, and the likelihood of our area experiencing impacts has increased. Our primary concern is the timing of the weather and the potential conditions during the early morning hours when our buses, students, employees, and families would be traveling.

Out of an abundance of caution and with the safety of our students and employees as our highest priority, we believe closing schools tomorrow is the appropriate decision.

We will continue to work closely with Cameron Parish OEP and monitor conditions throughout the evening and tomorrow. Any additional updates will be communicated through our district page, school messaging systems, and local media outlets.

We may have missed Team Tuesday yesterday, but we couldn’t miss the chance to highlight our amazing Kindergarten Team!

Our Kindergarten team is made up of dedicated teachers, paraprofessionals, and our MSU student teachers who work together each day to make learning fun, meaningful, and full of love for our littlest Hornets. 🐝
