โNever Forget.โ
Those two words carry tremendous meaning, especially today.
September 11th comes once a year, but 9-1-1 is answered every single day. Across this country, firefighters, EMS professionals, law enforcement officers, dispatchers, and other first responders continue to answer the call, often stepping into someone elseโs worst day without hesitation.
On September 11, 2001, we witnessed extraordinary courage, sacrifice, and service. We promised that we would Never Forget.
Twenty-five years later, that promise should mean more than remembering one day on the calendar. It should mean remembering the commitment first responders make to their communities every day. It should mean supporting those who serve, standing beside them when they need help, and remembering that behind every uniform is a person who has chosen to serve others.
Today, we honor the 2,977 lives lost on September 11, 2001, including the 343 FDNY firefighters, 23 NYPD officers, 37 Port Authority Police officers, and other first responders who gave everything while answering the call.
Remember them. Honor their sacrifice. Support those who continue to serve.
When we say โNever Forget,โ letโs make sure those words mean something not just today, but every day.
