Join us for Cook County Week at YMCA Camp Miller! A week dedicated to bringing Cook County youth together to be, belong, and become their best selves.

In partnership with local Cook County leaders, the Cook County Community YMCA is raising funds to “Fill the Bus” and send all current Cook County 4th graders to Camp Miller at no cost. Youth ages 6–14 are also welcome to be part of the experience.

They might seem like harmless fun, but breath-holding games in the water can be seriously dangerous, even for strong swimmers.

Holding your breath too long can lead to shallow water blackout, a silent and sudden emergency that can happen without warning.

At the Y, we teach that water safety isn’t just about swimming, it’s about smart choices. So, skip the contests, and keep the fun safe for everyone.

The Cook County Community YMCA will switch to our summer hours on Tuesday, May 26th. The summer hours will remain in effect until Labor Day. Updated hours are as follows:

Building
Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Pool
Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. - 6:45 p.m.
Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
