In the South Central Chaplain Recruiting Station, there was a significant victory. Staff Sergeant Campbell was honored as the Ultra High Performer for the month of February by the Army Medical Recruiting Brigade.

Tammy Briggs of 1st Battalion, 5th Field Artillery, the first female chaplain to serve in a combat arms unit in Fort Riley history. After serving in a different role for 15 years, it was seeing chaplains work during a deployment that prompted Briggs to change her career path. “It was such an impactful time for me," Briggs said. Opportunities in Ministry don’t stop just because your choice in calling has changed. While serving as a Religious Affairs Specialist at Fort Leonard Wood, I was able to fill in for the drummer during the IET Worship Services that morning.
