We are a school that believes the classrooms of today must reflect the world in which our students live in now as well as the future. Therefore school success cannot be found simply in the acquisition of information, but more importantly we must develop and nurture critical thinkers that can apply knowledge and be solution oriented. In order to meet the challenge, high expectations are set for all and rigorous education begins early. Our staff ensures that the school environment is a place where children feel safe and secure. Our Men of WFAA represented today! We are so grateful for their presence during National Parental Involvement Day- more activities are being planned to encourage students to enjoy the learning experience at the Whitt Fine Arts Academy !

As a child, April Wyatt enjoyed learning and being a part of the radio/tv film division at Lincoln Humanities Communications Magnet High School. Now as Principal at Whitt Fine Arts Academy, she gets to engage in great academics, radio/tv and film experiences for her students.

🌮 🥗 🥕Applications are still open for free and reduced-price meal applications. In the past few school years, a federal waiver and funding allowed Grand Prairie ISD to provide free meals for all students. This waiver recently expired, and the district will no longer be able to offer free meals for all.

Beginning this school year, students not participating in the free and reduced meal program will be required to begin paying for meals again. If you believe your family may qualify for free or reduced meals, we encourage you to fill out an application as soon as possible. Apply now https://www.gpisd.org/mealapplication.
