Club member Todd Jenkins, on behalf of the Grand Prairie Metro Rotary Club, presented a check for $2,000 to Ray Cerda, Director of the Grand Prairie Parks, Arts & Recreation department, and members of the Grand Prairie Park Board earmarked for PlayGrand Adventures. These funds from the Poker on the Prairie fundraising event will go to help create fun and inclusive play opportunities for hundreds of thousands of visitors to the park each year.

Busy meeting this week with Amber Alexander, CEO of Children First Counseling Center giving us an overview of the meaningful work the organization is doing for children and their families in Grand Prairie. We were also able to present her with a check from the proceeds raised at our recent Poker on the Prairie event. Two new members, Warren Landrum and Daniel Edwards, were presented with their Blue Badges signifying they are now established, fully integrated members of the Grand Prairie Metro Rotary Club. Congrats!

The Grand Prairie Metro Rotary Club proudly stepped up to serve during the The Big Event Grand Prairie — a powerful day of community impact across the city!

Each year, this incredible initiative brings together around 1,500 volunteers to tackle 100+ service projects, all with one shared goal: making Grand Prairie an even better place to live, work, and grow. 💙

From lending a helping hand to strengthening community connections, Grand Prairie Metro Rotarians continue to show what Service Above Self truly looks like.

The blue badge is the permanent membership badge that new Rotarians earn after completing a set of required activities designed to integrate them into the club. Congrats, Faith and TK!

In February, the Grand Prairie Metro Rotary Club hit the streets for their Adopt-a-Street project and removed 25 bags of trash plus additional road debris from their adopted roadway.
