Hello, I'm Gerard Akkerhuis, running for Michigan House District 82, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I'm running to promote election and campaign finance reform, to promote third parties and rank choice voting. There must be more freedom to choose between parties, instead of only two. Even with the political divisions of today's political climate, these two, Democratic and Republican, are both invested
in the same old system, making little progress in real systemic change. At this point, we need seismic reform in all areas of society and culture, technology and economy. I trust the values of the Green Party to guide us through these cataclysmic times.
