Last Friday, Calvin University freshmen spent the morning giving our Wyoming Park Family Shelter some much needed TLC.

Students volunteered with Family Promise as part of Calvin's annual StreetFest event which sends incoming freshmen into the greater Grand Rapids community to learn and give back. Wishing all the generous and kind students who joined us a fantastic fall semester!

Food insecurity is an issue many families in our programs face.

That's why we're so grateful to Wolverine Construction, Byron Center Meats, and the Kent County Youth Fair for partnering to deliver 500 lbs of fresh meat to Family Promise! These cuts will feed over 100 families, ensuring no child goes to bed hungry.

Family Promise's Wyoming Park Family Shelter provides emergency shelter to 11 families every day. Shelter Support volunteers support families and onsite staff by preparing meals, helping with clean-up and organization, and providing homework help and entertainment.
