📣 CALL FOR ARTISTS

Art can create space for remembrance, reflection and healing.

The City of Grand Rapids is seeking qualified artists or artist teams to design and create a new memorial honoring the lives and communities impacted by gun violence.

The memorial will recognize the many forms of gun violence—including interpersonal violence, domestic violence, street violence and unjust shootings—and serve as a meaningful space for our community to remember loved ones, reflect and continue conversations around prevention and safer communities.

🎨 Project budget: Up to $20,000
📅 Proposals due: September 21, 2026
