🌼 Join us on a walk with a member of our Land Stewardship team to learn more about Michigan flora and fauna. 🦌 This is a great opportunity to enjoy the season, get to know Blandford better and nerd out on nature! We’ll hike on trails ranging from pavement to dirt to mulch, so wear appropriate footwear. 🥾 Bring binoculars if you have them, or borrow some of ours!

💐Have you considered starting your own cut flower garden or a roadside flower stand? Then this class is a great place to start!

Join Blandford Nature Center’s resident flower expert and learn about what to consider before you begin your own cut flower journey. Discussion will include topics such as which flowers are hardiest in our zone, which varieties produce well, and how to consider your personal style and color preferences when choosing what to plant. After learning the basics of flower farming, you’ll head out into the Blandford Farm’s own flower field to harvest flowers, and you’ll arrange your own bouquet to take home. We’ll provide harvesting tools and a mason jar for your bouquet.

We’ll read a few favorite farm stories, create a farm-themed take-home craft, and take a walk around the farm to meet the animals that bring our stories to life.
