Rain has been doing its best to interrupt the Heartside Historic Mural this week, but the artists have been finding every weather window they can to keep the work moving. 🌦️🎨

With each new layer, this wall is becoming a lasting part of Heartside’s story. There are still plenty of opportunities to come out, lend a hand, and be part of creating something meaningful with your neighbors.

Meet Jonathan DeHaan, Dwelling Place’s Community Garden Coordinator. 🌱

With support from a 2023 AARP Community Challenge Grant, residents at Reflections Apartments have access to a year-round greenhouse and opportunities to grow their own gardens.

The garden is about more than what is planted. It is a shared space for learning, connecting with neighbors, spending time outdoors, and helping shape a community together.

A move-in day is exciting—but there is a lot of thoughtful work behind it.

Before a new resident moves into permanent supportive housing, Dwelling Place Resident Services Coordinators help bring together the people and details that make the transition possible: applicants, property management, case workers, shelter staff, outreach teams, and required documentation.

The goal is not simply a move-in. It is the opportunity to build stability, community, and a place to call home.
