Here’s what we’ve been working on!

Thanks to the leadership support of the Bill and Bea Idema Foundation, Kim and Judy Gilpin, and an anonymous donor, this project became a reality. Additional funding was made possible by our 2025 West Side Walk participants.

What do you do when three momentous occasions happen at once? YOU CELEBRATE! Please join us for a trifecta June celebration of Gilda Radner’s 80th birthday, Community is Stronger than Cancer Day, and National Cancer Survivors Day. Our celebration will be a clean comedy show with light refreshments. Adults only please.

Seats are limited, registration is required. Register by emailing [email protected] or using the link in the comments. The event is open to Gilda's Club Grand Rapids members, volunteers, and the general public.

Gilda Radner was born June 28, 1946, and her legacy continues to inspire us every day. In celebration of what would have been her 80th birthday, anyone who registers for the West Side Walk and raises $300 by June 28 will receive an exclusive “1946 Gilda” quarter-zip.

The West Side Walk is happening Saturday, September 26.

Camp Sparkle gives kids impacted by cancer or grief a place to feel understood, connect with others, and process big feelings through fun, age-appropriate activities.

This free camp is held at Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids Clubhouse, and pre-registration is required. Families can register at gildasclubgr.org/campsparkle/ or call 616-453-8300 for more information.

Yesterday we hosted our first-ever Gilda’s 9 at Railside Golf Club, and what an incredible success it was! A huge thank you to BHS Insurance for serving as our presenting sponsor, and to Dana Maki for being such a driving force in bringing this event to life.

We are so grateful to everyone who came out to support Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids. Thank you to the amazing families, friends, and companies who formed teams and the sponsors who made the day possible. With beautiful weather and an even better community showing, it was truly a memorable event.
