What a great afternoon!

Our members and guests enjoyed an entertaining and inspiring presentation with Carl Paganelli, who shared behind-the-scenes stories from his years as an NFL referee and federal probation officer.

From making split-second decisions on the football field to lessons learned throughout his career in federal service, Carl gave us plenty of interesting stories, humor, and insight into the importance of teamwork, integrity, and good judgment.

Carl’s presentation was part of our AFL (Apprentice For Life) program, which offers a variety of interesting and educational presentations throughout the year. AFL presentations are free, and you do not need to be a Northview Senior Citizens member to attend! We welcome everyone in the community. (Registration is required).

A big thank you to Carl for spending the afternoon with us and sharing his experiences!

And thank you, Teri Chandler, for capturing these great moments!

What a day in Port Sanilac!

Our motorcoach adventure to Port Sanilac was a wonderful day filled with history, beautiful scenery, and plenty of fun! We dodged a few raindrops, climbed to the top of the Port Sanilac Lighthouse, and enjoyed a delicious lunch at The Stone Lodge.

We also stepped back in time with a tour of the Sanilac County Historic Village and Museum, where we explored local history and learned more about life in the area.

A little rain didn’t dampen our spirits! Thanks to everyone who joined us and made the day so enjoyable.

Enjoy a few photos from our Port Sanilac adventure! Thank you Teri Chandler for sharing these with us!

What an incredible day on the water!

Two groups of Northview Senior Citizens teamed up with the Northview High School rowing team for a one-of-a-kind rowing experience. After learning the basics and practicing on rowing machines, it was time to launch onto the water!

Everyone quickly discovered that rowing is much harder than it looks—but with encouragement from the student rowers, lots of laughs, and beautiful weather, it turned into a fantastic day. Thank you to the Northview High School rowing team for sharing your skills and making this such a memorable experience!

We had a wonderful (and smoky) day exploring the Windy City! A special thank you to Jim Kwasteniet, who brought Chicago's rich history to life as our step-on guide with fascinating stories throughout the day.

Our visit to the historic Pullman Factory included time exploring the grounds and learning about the legacy of the Pullman community and factory. It was an unusually smoky day due to the Canadian wildfires, giving Chicago a very different look than usual.

After lunch at Millennium Park—and, of course, photos at "The Bean"—we enjoyed an unforgettable architecture river cruise, taking in Chicago's iconic skyline from the water. It was another memorable day of history, sightseeing, and great company!
