This morning, Riverside High School conducted its annual Mock Crash with the help of local law enforcement, first responders and students.
The purpose of the mock crash is to educate juniors and seniors of the dangers - and consequences - of drinking and driving. We hope our students learned a valuable lesson today.
Thank you to the Lake County Sheriff's Office Sheriff Frank Leonbruno, the Ohio State Highway Patrol as well as Painesville Township Fire Department, Leroy Twp. Fire Department, Concord Twp Fire Department and Grand River Fire Department for bringing the Mock Crash to life. Special thanks to Johnson Funeral Home and Bob's Garage & Towing for also participating in the Mock Crash.
Today at 11:23 a.m., PCFD responded to a mutual aid call from the Fairport Harbor Fire Department for a structure fire on Fifth Street in Fairport Harbor.
Painesville Township Fire Department, Grand River Fire Department, Concord Twp Fire Department and Perry Joint Fire District also responded.
No fatalities or injuries on scene, however, PCFD assisted in rescuing a cat who was revived by our own FF Lemmberbrock. With a little oxygen and a trip to the vet, kitty should be okay.
As always, thank you to Eric Silvi for the action shots.
