During the month of July, Grand View Ambulance’s newer Basic EMT’s and an EMT from Bruneau QRU, have been learning and practicing OMs (Optional Modules). Glucagon, IO’s, Supraglottic airways (Igels) and IV’s. With an excellent and patient instructor, Senior EMTs willing to guide and teach, and loads of practice we are learning and growing to continue providing Emergency medical care for our community.

With high 90° to over 100° temperatures coming this next few weeks, we encourage you to stay cool, hydrated and limit sun exposure. Wear sunscreen, light sun shirts, and a wide brimmed hat if you have one. If you’re working out in the heat, drink plenty of cold or ice water, find shade and take breaks frequently.

Please Remember:
Never try to relight a firework that did not go off.
Keep a garden hose or bucket of water near by just in case.
Be careful around explosive fireworks, fingers are harder to find in the dark.
Drink responsibly, stay put or find a sober driver.

Grand View Ambulance has had a busy weekend thus far. As it gets warmer, the area gets busier with campers, tents, boating, and utvs. Be sure to wear your helmets, seatbelts, life vests, etc. obey traffic laws and NEVER drink and drive. On June 3rd, Grand View Ambulance Service and Grand View Fire Department got together and had a dinner and deep clean night. Units were cleaned and polished, we decluttered old and out of date equipment and washed and scrubbed both bays. Thank you to everyone who came out and helped!!!
