Granger Fire & EMS is proud to be launching our new Community CPR & AED Initiative—designed to empower our community with the skills and confidence to save a life.

Cardiac arrest can happen anywhere, at any time. When it does, seconds matter, start the beat!

Through this program, we will be offering:

- Hybrid Heartsaver CPR/AED certification courses

- FREE Hands-Only CPR/AED awareness training for all ages

- Heartsaver CPR/AED training opportunities for local businesses and organizations

❤️🚑 National EMS Week Member Appreciation & Department Training!

This month’s training was led by Capt. Oberembt, focusing on essential fireground skills and pump operations 🚒💦

Members practiced:

- Hose deployment with a charged line
- Hooking a hydrant
- Reviewing Incident Command Boards
- Pump operations

As part of National EMS Week, we were grateful to spend time recognizing and supporting the members who serve our community 🚑❤️

A special thank you to City Council Member Chris Cecak, who stopped by the fire station to help grill for our member appreciation event. 🙏

Thank you again to Generation builders of Iowa for donating the food that made the evening possible. 🍔 🌭

The night also gave us an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the retirement of Sr. Fire Fighter Shawn Benberg and thank him for his years of dedication and service to the Granger Fire Department 2020-2026 🔥

We truly appreciate the delicious food donation provided for the Granger Fire & EMS training night. Your kindness helped make the evening even more special for our crews as they continue training and serving our community.
