"As fairs, rodeos, and other summer events ramp up, people from all over the county come to experience everything these events have to offer. For some, the highlight is the parades, moving slowly down the main streets. One aspect of most fairs, including the Idaho County Fair in Cottonwood, is royalty, and the young women who represent the community they serve. No ICL&P members currently affected by Avista’s PSPS outages tomorrow but be prepared.

Idaho County Light & Power is monitoring a potential Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) being considered by Avista for tomorrow. At this time, none of our members will be affected but if conditions change, members in the Kamiah area including Glenwood, Woodland and Pardee would be affected. In the Kooskia area, members in the Tahoe, MiddleFork, Lowell, Syringa, Red Fir, Big Cedar, Clearwater, and the north end of Harpster could be affected.
At this time, we encourage members in these areas to prepare for the possibility of being without power beginning tomorrow afternoon and continuing through the evening, overnight, and potentially into Sunday morning. Please charge phones, gather flashlights, and make any necessary preparations for an extended outage. We will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as these potential outages would originate from Avista's system, which serves our members. We will continue to update you if anything changes but want everyone to be safe and prepared. No one wants a fire in their communities, and no one wants to see their power out either. If an outage does happen we will work to get everyone restored as quickly as possible.
