On June 11, 2026, at approximately 5:16 PM, a female arrived at the Idaho County Jail on Airport Road to obtain documents from an inmate. Upon entry, detention staff recognized the female who was known to have a felony warrant.

Idaho County detention deputies took the female into custody.

Shenandoah Middleton, age 57, of Sapphire, North Carolina, was arrested for an Idaho County warrant for three counts of felony intimidation of a witness and one count of felony threats to an official.

On June 9, 2026, at approximately 3:15 PM, an Idaho County deputy was performing traffic enforcement on Highway 95 just south of White Bird, Idaho, when she stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.

Upon contact with the occupants, the passenger had an open and visible alcoholic beverage in his hands. A search of the vehicle was conducted, and methamphetamine was located and the passenger was arrested.

Troy Walker, age 62, of Riggins, Idaho, was arrested for felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia, and cited for infraction open container by passenger.

This arrest demonstrates our commitment to addressing drug possession that endangers public safety on Idaho County roadways.

Scammers are impersonating courts, law enforcement agencies, and government officials to trick people into sending money or sharing personal information.

Common Scam Tactics

❌ Claiming you missed jury duty and owe a fine
❌ Threatening arrest unless you pay immediately
❌ Demanding payment by gift card, wire transfer, cryptocurrency, or payment app
❌ Asking for your Social Security number, bank account information, or other personal details
❌ Spoofing phone numbers to appear as a local court or police department

Know the Facts

âś… Courts do not demand immediate payment over the phone.
âś… Legitimate jury duty notices are typically sent by mail.
âś… Government agencies do not accept fines through gift cards or payment apps
âś… You have the right to verify any communication directly with the court

If You Receive a Suspicious Call, Text, or Email hang up or stop responding.

Do not send money or provide personal information.

Contact your local court using an official phone number or website.

Report the scam to local law enforcement and consumer protection agencies.

On June 6, 2026, at approximately 9:15 PM, Idaho County Dispatch received a call regarding a female walking in the middle of Highway 95 near Hoot’s Café outside of White Bird. The caller reported she would not move to the side of the roadway and was concerned for her wellbeing.

An Idaho County deputy responded and located the female, who appeared disoriented. After speaking with her, she was taken to Syringa Hospital for a medical evaluation. During the contact, she threw her keys into the ditch.

The deputy returned to look for the keys and found a vehicle parked nearby. A records check showed the vehicle had been reported stolen. After further investigation, the female was arrested.

Christy Gill, age 26, of Lewiston, Idaho, was arrested for felony grand theft by receiving, possessing or disposing of stolen property and misdemeanor pedestrian under the influence of alcohol or drugs in the roadway.

On June 4, 2026, at approximately 6:40 PM, an Idaho County deputy was performing traffic enforcement near Grangeville, Idaho. The deputy stopped a maroon Ford Explorer traveling northbound on Highway 95 near milepost 238, just south of Grangeville, for a traffic violation.

K9 Enzo and his handler arrived, and K9 Enzo alerted on the vehicle and a search was conducted.

Patricia Kelly, age 44, of Grangeville, Idaho, was arrested for felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of hydrocodone, misdemeanor possession of ma*****na, and misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia.

**ROAD CLOSURE NOTICES** AS OF 11:37AM

Due to an accident, U.S. Highway 95 at milepost 242 (approximately 2 miles north of Grangeville) has the southbound lane closed at this time.

Traffic is being reduced to one lane, and motorists should expect delays while emergency crews work in the area.

Johnston Cutoff Road is also closed at this time.

There is currently no estimated time for either roadway to reopen.

Please use caution, slow down in the area, and consider alternate routes if possible.

Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.

On May 28, 2026, at approximately 1:12 PM, Idaho County Dispatch received a 911 call regarding a disabled female in distress.

Idaho County deputies responded and had the Kooskia Ambulance respond to evaluate the female. Deputies then responded to the residence to speak to the female’s caregiver.

Robert Agee, age 66, of Kooskia, Idaho, was arrested for felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia and misdemeanor domestic battery.

On May 23, 2026, at approximately 8:15 PM, Idaho County Dispatch received a 911 call regarding a male subject in Warren, Idaho who was shooting an AR type rifle and a shotgun over the heads of some residents and making threatening statements.

Idaho County deputies, along with the assistance of two Adams County deputies responded and made contact with the subject. He was subsequently arrested.

Kelly Craig, age 49, of Boise, Idaho was arrested for felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor disturbing the peace.

This arrest demonstrates our commitment to emergency response and community safety. Sheriff Ulmer also wishes to thank the Adams County deputies for their assistance.
