The 649th RSG conducted their Best Warrior Competition over the weekend. 1008th QM COs own SSG Paul Flores walked away victorious in the NCO category and will move on to represent the 649th RSG at the 103rd ESC Best Warrior Competition next month! Congratulations SSG Flores job well done!

1008th Soldiers!!!

Don’t forget the 1st Quarter Challenge started October 1.

Use the Map My Run app or similar fitness tracker. You may also take a picture of a fitness machine (like a treadmill) screen at the end of your workout as long as it shows the total miles. I will ask for your totals at the end of each month!!

Congratulation to SSG Selma Odoom on her promotion to Staff Sergeant and induction into the NCO Corps.

It might sound weird to do an NCO Induction for a Staff Sergeant but any NCO who has not
had an induction ceremony before will receive one on promotion along with a copy of the charge.

1SG Levy was promoted at a small private promotion ceremony (broadcast to the 1008th family on Zoom).

What is a First Sergeant?

A First Sergeant is a senior non-commissioned officer (NCO) in the United States Army. Soldiers holding this rank serve as the senior NCO in a company-sized unit, around 150 soldiers. First Sergeants serve as the senior enlisted advisor to the Company Commander.

They are recognized as the most tactically and technically competent as well as experienced NCO's in companies. Standing as the final NCO authority at the company level, they are the ultimate enforcers of standards and discipline as well as the final authority on all aspects of soldiering, including but not limited to tactics, techniques, procedures, and living as a member of the United States Army.

Congratulations to SGT A.j. Case on your promotion to Sergeant!

SGT Case was promoted at a small private promotion ceremony (broadcast to the 1008th family on Zoom). Immediately after the promotion ceremony SGT Case was inducted into the Corps of the Noncommissioned Officer.
