Auxiliarists, enjoy a new benefit from Safe Harbor Marinas!

In recognition of your service, dedication, and our shared commitment to safe boating, Safe Harbor Marinas will give Coast Guard Auxiliary Association members a fuel discount of 50 cents a gallon off our regular price.

If after the 50 cents a gallon discount, the price is lower than the Safe Harbor Member price, the Coast Guard Auxiliary Association member will receive the Safe Harbor Member price.

If Safe Harbor local management determines the discount is being overused by a Coast Guard Auxiliary Association member, Safe Harbor local management reserves the right to discontinue the discount to that individual. This discount is not to be used for commercial or private business purpose. This privilege can be revoked by local management.

Auxiliarists in the AUXAIR program are highly skilled aviators and are vital to support safe and effective ex*****on of Coast Guard and Auxiliary missions.

To become a crew member in AUXAIR, there is extensive training and required medical clearance. Positions may include Auxiliary pilot, air observer, and more. AUXAIR aviators volunteer their aircraft for use as facilities, just as surface operators volunteer their boats.

U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary aircrews regularly conduct flyovers to assess the inlets and waterways for Coast Guard Small Boat Stations. These waterway assessments are conducted in order to identify and photo-document shoaling and navigational obstructions around major inlets and Intracoastal Waterways.

The overflights benefit Coast Guard surface units in determining the location of shifting shoals and sandbars, showing coxswains and break-in coxswains where the best water would be when transiting. These AUXAIR missions are another example of how well the Coast Guard and Coast Guard Auxiliary work together!
