🚨COMMUNICATIONS UPDATE – Families, Please Read

As we prepare to welcome students back for the 2026–2027 school year, we want to share an important update about how our schools and staff will communicate with families this year.

Our district is transitioning away from Remind, which we previously used for two-way messaging between families and schools. Beginning this school year, we are moving to a new communication platform called Rooms, which will be built directly into the new Granite Falls School District app.

New staff in our district participate in a special "Welcome to Granite" orientation that includes guided bus tours, school visits, and lunch with the Superintendent!

This week, we had so much fun getting to know our newest Tigers. We are beyond excited to watch them bring their passion, energy, and expertise into classrooms across Granite Falls.

This summer, our district custodians have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure our schools are spotless, fresh, and ready to welcome everyone back! 🧹✨

Today, we want to give a very special shoutout to Josue Batrack-Valenciano! During our District Leadership Team meeting at Granite Falls High School last week, the first thing anyone said upon walking in was, "WOW, those stairs look brand new!"

If you're familiar with the high school commons, you know that main staircase takes a lot of wear and tear. Josue took the time to meticulously clean every single step—scrubbing away old gum, removing scuffs, and completely repainting each stair. The floors are gleaming, the walls are spotless, and the space looks incredible!

Research shows that clean, well-maintained spaces help students focus and thrive. To Josue and every single custodian across our district who spent the summer moving heavy furniture, painting walls, and scrubbing those tough corners: THANK YOU! We appreciate you more than you know. ❤️
