Not only did we catch a surprise inventory from Jesse!

We spent last evening with his crew for a tremendously engaging and effective training on Electric Vehicles and Lithium Ion batteries! This four hour interactive course kept our attention with a Tesla Model 3 pulled into the fire hall and a semi trailer loaded with examples!

Great to have the VRT team visit us with support from the Minnesota Board of Firefighter Training and Education!

This is the final week for firefighter applications to be considered in 2026.

They can be picked up, completed, and returned to City of Granite Falls Minnesota City Hall before Friday May 29, 2026 at 5 PM.

We had the honor of taking our turn to host the quarterly meeting of the Region 9 West Central Fire Department Association.

Dozens of Firefighters gathered to share a meal, visit with vendors and educators, and hear updates from Minnesota State Fire Chiefs Association, Minnesota State Fire Marshal, MSFDA Region 9, and more partners!

As a gift to our mutual aid partners, many local businesses donated awesome door prizes and gave us deals on our meal! Too many to list completely, but we appreciate you supporting the evening!

BIG NIGHT for next steps!

Firefighter Grant Lalim earned his Black Hat after passing all of his State certifications.

Firefighter Bret Haar passed his National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians test just this morning. He joins Firefighter Kevin Jensvold as our second EMT. These two and eight more Emergency Medical Responders are able to assist Ambulance staff with patient care in challenging situations.
