🚒Training Notice for the Community 🚒

If you happen to see several Greer County EMS and Granite Fire Department units near the ball fields behind Sunny’s in Granite today — don’t worry! There is no emergency.

Our crews are conducting annual Emergency Vehicle Driver Training (EVDT). This training helps ensure our drivers stay skilled, safe, and prepared to handle emergency responses in all conditions.

We appreciate the community’s support as we work to keep our crews — and our neighbors — as safe as possible.

Prayers for our brother in blue!

It is with permission from his family, that we make this post. One of our own, Captain Chris Barngrover, is suffering a serious illness and he is fighting for his life at the moment. We humbly ask for your thoughts & prayers for our brother in blue.

We couldn’t do what we do without our volunteers!!! The late night/early morning EMS runs, the long, hot fire calls… each one is such an asset! If you see them out and about- give them a big thank you!

Thank you for your dedication, your selfless devotion, and your passion for serving your communities. We recognize today and every day the sacrifices you make to protect us! 🔥❤️

Today our firefighters responded to a fire North of Granite that required a multi-agency response. We want to thank everyone that came out to assist us on this fire. This is not something we could have done alone! Thank you to Mangum Fire Department, Willow Fire Department, Lone Wolf Fire Department, Sayre Fire Department, Carter Fire Dept. Carter, Oklahoma and Elk City Fire & EMS for sending much needed fire trucks and firefighters to assist!

We also want to thank Greer County Special Ambulance Service, Greer County Sheriff's Office and the Greer County Emergency Manager for their roles today as well.

Thank you to Brittany McClintock and Danielle Coffman for making arrangements for our first responders to be fed and hydrated! A very heartfelt thank you to the Red River Cowboy Church, Sunny’s and Pizza Hut for making sure our folks were taken care of. We can’t put into words how grateful we truly are for each of you. Thank you!!
