After a very long and unexpected break due to COVID-19. We wanted to take a second to highlight one of the great outdoor escapes right here in the Hudson Valley, The Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park. Who better to talk to than Mr. Fred Schaeffer himself. One of the original members who played a crucial role in the restoration and development of the Walkway Bridge. Listen as we get a quick histroy lesson about how it all came to be.

We're Still Open HV | Seriously Local Grassroot Edition(s)

We are so excited to sit down with this dynamite trio Jeff Severson, Kati Haynes and Sheila Gilday to discuss their latest business collaboration to further their support of local businesses in The Hudson Valley. An idea that started with a modern day roladex of brick and mortar businesses in the Hudson Valley that are "still open", We're Still Open HV has created quite the buzz. Presently listing 500 businesses across all Hudson Valley counties, this is a completely free, no cost directory for local businesses being impacted by COVID-19, but that remain open.

These three have done so much for our community through their support of the New Paltz Regional Chamber of Commerce, it is no surprise that they continue to help our local businesses thrive during these difficult times.

If you are a local business that is still open, hop over to their website and make sure to get listed. The directory will link to your social media pages, website and will make available anything you are creatively offering to the community. These people are the real deal so make sure to like their page, support them, share the site and of course get your business listed!

No cameras, no lights, no microphones | Seriously Local Grassroot Edition(s)

Apart, but not alone. The women of Unshattered have a message of hope to share with a world that desperately needs it. These ladies are a source of unbelievable inspiration - to themselves, each other and to our community. Unshattered, is a nonprofit in Hopewell Junction, New York that employs women recovering from addiction. On an ordinary basis, these women work together to make handmade custom handbags made from up-cycled materials. Presently, they have shifted their focus to making as many masks as possible for hospital workers and healthcare professionals in urgent need! They too are in need of 3/4" elastic to continue their work.
