Our first shines of the year!

Our new STEAM/Health Specials class is off to an AMAZING start, and it has already been STEAMing along! Our students are learning, creating, experimenting, and—most importantly—working together to solve problems and find solutions.
From discussing MyPlate and healthy eating habits to building roller coasters and creating balloon-powered cars, our students have already explored so many exciting concepts through hands-on learning!
We LOVE seeing our future leaders collaborate, think critically, communicate, problem-solve, and learn from one another. These are the skills that will help our students not only succeed in the classroom but become confident leaders for the future!
We can’t wait to see what they create, discover, and accomplish next!

Tumbling into fun! Our kindergartners are learning the basics of rolling in gymnastics during PE this week. From tight "pencil rolls" to silly "egg rolls," these little athletes are building core strength, balance, and body awareness while having a absolute blast. Watch out, world—our mini gymnasts are on a roll! 🤸‍♂️

Today Miss Kern's class had a "shoes off" math lesson to demonstrate how to make pairs of objects. Students were asked to work with a partner to make pairs of objects. Then they had to decide how many objects they had in total and then decide if there was a leftover object that didn't have a partner. All of this is preparing students to learn about arrays, which is the precursor to multiplication! We are loving all the hands-on math!

Attendance matters and the competition starts Tuesday, September 1. There will also be random surprises for students that are at school on random days throughout the month!

Ms. Youngblood’s class had a sweet time with S’more Science! Students enjoyed a hands-on experiment where they made predictions, conducted the experiment, and analyzed their results. It was a fun—and delicious—way to learn about heat and the science behind it!
