Summer is a wonderful time for fun, adventures, and making memories but it’s also an important time to keep those young minds growing!

Just 15–20 minutes of reading each day can help children maintain the skills they worked so hard to build during the school year. Reading regularly helps improve vocabulary, comprehension, creativity, and confidence while preventing the “summer slide.”

Parents, don’t underestimate the power of a simple routine. Setting aside a consistent time each day for reading—whether it’s before breakfast, during quiet time, or before bed—can make a huge difference. Routines provide structure, encourage healthy habits, and help children stay prepared for a successful return to school in the fall.

📖 Read together.

📖 Let your child choose books they enjoy.
📖 Make reading part of your family’s daily routine.

Every page turned is a step toward learning, growing, and succeeding. Let’s make this a summer filled with sunshine, memories, and lots of great books! ☀️❤️📚

Our older campers had a blast creating colorful tie-dye masterpieces and making silhouette art, while our younger campers explored science and art through fizzing fireworks experiments and beautiful saltwater paintings! 🎨✨🎆

Day 2 of Red, White & Read Summer Library Camp was full of creativity and learning! ❤️🤍💙 Today our campers made beautiful red, white, and blue wreaths, created patriotic USA chalk art, designed their own Statute of Liberty crowns, and crafted majestic eagles. We also spent time learning about symbols of America and what they represent. It was another fun filled morning of reading, creating, exploring, and celebrating our country together!
