Today, the Village of Grant Park held a dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony at Hilgert Memorial Park. Named in honor of former Grant Park Mayor, Russell Hilgert. Mayor Hilgert's family were in attendance to honor his legacy. The park has been vastly improved and updated, with new playground equipment, pickleball courts, a paved parking area and more. The village has been working with Piggush Engineering, Inc, who along with a previous administration, designed the new elements of the park and secured a state grant loan that helps offset the cost of improvements for the village. R&R Construction of Bradley, was the main contractor. Please plan on visiting the park and enjoy your time spent there. Located at 618 S. Main Street, All the way at the south end of town. PLEASE NOTE:
On Monday • May 4th • 2026 • 6:30 p.m., the next regular meeting of the Grant Park Village Board will be held at the Community Park Building, 209 W Dixie HWY. We expect increased public attendance for the installation of our new police chief, Albert Castillo. We hope to see you there!
Future Meetings: Following this session, regularly scheduled board meetings will resume at the Village Hall.

Grant Park Chamber of Commerce annual golf outing is happening on the first Saturday in May at the Cardinal Creek golf course in Beecher. All funds raised support the chamber's scholarship program that benefits students at Grant Park Schools.
