Join us for Craft Club this month as we paint the town for fall! On Sept. 12th, the library will be handing out canvases that you can take home and paint. You'll have two weeks to finish and once you're done bring them back to the library and we will hang them up around town so everyone can see your masterpieces! If any places in town would like to be included, please reach out to the Grant Park Public Library 😊🎨🍁

A few announcements, firstly thank you to everyone who participated in the Summer Reading Program and the Community Challenge! Everyone did an amazing job at reaching all of the goals! Congrats to our raffle winners, Joelle and Clover Schneider, and Isaiah W.! Summer isn't over though and we still have some exciting programs! For all kids in 5th grade and under, if you read 5 books you can come in and get a Panda Express certificate for a free kid's meal! We are also participating in the Illinois Reads Together - Chicago Cubs summer contest! If you complete your Summer Reading Packet you can enter to win 2 tickets to the Chicago Cubs! There is also a raffle for one kid (13+) to be able to throw the first pitch! For more information, stop by the library!

The library is open! There is still construction but there is a gravel walkway to the library by the alley. We recommend parking either by the Village Hall or the bank, as it's easier to get to the alley from the bank. Please be careful!

Today is the last day to turn in your Summer Reading Program packet and get prizes and raffle tickets! Make sure to stop by the library! We will be doing the raffle tomorrow at our party in Hilgert Park. Our party starts at 11AM, there will be games, crafts, and treats! Thank you to everyone who participated in the program and the community challenge, we can't wait to celebrate with you tomorrow! 🥳🎆🇺🇸

UPDATE: We have reached 250 books! Thanks to everyone who helped reach this goal, we'll see you at the party!! 😄

We are officially at 241 books! Just 9 more to go! To celebrate the end of the Summer Reading Program and for reading 250 books we are hosting a party at Hilgert Park this Saturday, July 11th! The party will start at 11 AM and we'll have a craft station, lawn games, and treats! Come and join the fun and celebrate America 250! 🇺🇲🎉🎆
