Grant Park Schools is proud to announce that we earned 3rd place in the Belson Steel Center Scrap, Inc. 2025–2026 SCORE Recycling Contest! Through the incredible teamwork and dedication of our students, staff, and families, our district recycled an outstanding 108,111 aluminum cans, totaling an impressive 3,163 pounds.

This achievement is a powerful reflection of the commitment our school community has toward environmental responsibility and caring for our planet. It was inspiring to see our students and families come together for a cause that not only benefits our school, but also helps create a cleaner, healthier, and more
sustainable future for generations to come.

We are extremely proud of everyone who participated in this initiative. Every can collected represented teamwork, school pride, and a shared understanding of the importance of protecting our environment. This recognition is truly a celebration of what can be accomplished when a community works together toward a common
goal. While the contest itself may have ended, the importance of recycling continues every single day. We encourage our students, staff, and families to keep making environmentally responsible choices throughout the year because when we recycle, everyone wins — especially our planet.
