Great time this morning at Touch A Truck at the Wayne County Fairgrounds.

We enjoyed seeing so many families out and supporting a great community event. Maverick’s favorite part was definitely the pickle train and dunk tank!

Thank you to Partnership For Children of Wayne County/Smart Start for hosting such a fun event!

We truly don’t have the words to express how thankful we are for the support shown at last night’s Spring Gathering.

This entire experience has been new for our family in so many ways, and the encouragement, kindness, prayers, and support we continue to receive mean more than we can properly put into words. This campaign would not be possible without the people standing beside us, and we are deeply thankful for each of you.

A special thank you to Core Care Life for graciously hosting the event and our team for helping make the evening so special.

Thank you for believing in us and supporting this campaign.

The National Day of Prayer event planned for yesterday on the Wayne County Courthouse steps may have been moved indoors because of the rain, but it was still a meaningful evening of prayer for our community, state, and country at Grace Baptist Church.

I was also honored to be presented with a copy of the Aitken Bible, recognized as the first English-language Bible printed in America.

Afterward, we headed to the Have a Heart for Kids reverse drawing fundraiser hosted by Communities Supporting Schools of Wayne County. We didn’t win, but we enjoyed supporting a great cause and seeing so many familiar faces.

People deserve to feel heard, respected, and prepared when they walk into a courtroom.

I’m thankful for people like Summer who trusted me during difficult moments and allowed us to share her experience and feedback.

If given the opportunity to serve as District Court Judge, I’ll continue to approach every case with preparation, fairness, and respect for the people and families involved.

I want to take a moment to thank the men and women who serve our communities on this International Firefighters’ Day.

Over the past few months, I’ve been grateful for the opportunity to spend time with departments across Wayne, Lenoir, and Greene counties.

Tonight was no exception. I had the opportunity to speak at Fort Run Volunteer Fire & Ems and enjoyed the conversation so much that I completely forgot to get a photo with the truck while I was there!

Thank you to the team at Fort Run for the warm welcome, and to all of our first responders for the work you do every day to keep our communities safe.

Six months from today, voters will head to the polls.

This campaign has never been about one person. It is built by family, friends, and people in this community who are willing to step in whenever they are needed.

Earlier this week, we spent time building more signs. My father-in-law came up with the plan and led the charge to get everything built. My mother-in-law, my wife, and a close family friend all jumped in to help. I am so grateful for every bit of support.

If you want to be part of what we are building, there are plenty of ways to get involved:

• Put out a yard sign
• Let us know if you have a spot for a large sign
• Share our posts and invite others to follow along
• Volunteer your time
• Make a contribution if you are able

We have six months to go, and I am grateful for the people helping every step of the way!

From BBQ in the rain to a great evening at the Derby event hosted by Community Council for the Arts-Kinston, NC.

One of the best parts of days like this is spending time with so many people across our community, whether it’s around a smoker or supporting the arts.

Grateful for the conversations, the friendships, and everything that makes this community special.

We have had such a great time the last two days at BBQ Fest on the Neuse!

Spent last night meeting a lot of the cook teams and seeing their impressive work. We were proud to sponsor Fired Up Bbq out of Snow Hill, good family friends!

The rain didn’t stop us today. Spent this morning with some of the judges and did a little taste testing. Not a bad way to start the day!

Always enjoy seeing so many people, meeting new folks, and having good conversations over good food. Such an impressive event! Visit Kinston

Most people see what happens in the courtroom. What they don’t always see are the early mornings and late nights spent preparing, reviewing, and making sure everything is in order.

That work matters. It’s how you show respect for people and their cases.

If given the opportunity to serve as District Court Judge, I’ll show up prepared and put in that work every single day.
