Protecting children is a responsibility we all share. 💙

In Oregon, mandated reporters are required to report when they have reasonable cause to believe a child has experienced abuse or neglect. You do not need proof, and you do not need to investigate. If you suspect abuse, make the call.

📞 Oregon Child Abuse Hotline (DHS): 1-855-503-SAFE (7233)

Reports should also be made to local law enforcement. If a child is in immediate danger, call 911.

One phone call can help protect a child, connect a family with support, and start the path toward safety.

Your call makes a difference.

Once you sign up, your child receives a free book each month from the time that they are born.

Both my kiddos have it and it is a wonderful program. Dolly was such an amazing person to put something together like this ❤️

Every child deserves more than just having their basic needs met. They deserve to feel safe, loved, heard, understood, connected, and valued. 💙

At the Children’s Advocacy Center of Josephine County, we work to create a place where children are supported, believed, and reminded that they matter.

When children have safety, connection, compassion, and caring adults beside them, they have what they need to heal and thrive. 🌈💛

Justice and healing for children.

Dogs for Better Lives created a beautiful video featuring Misty as this year’s Facility Dog Spotlight for their national Bone AppeTREAT fundraiser, and it truly captures the heart of what facility dogs do every single day.

At the Children’s Advocacy Center, Misty helps children feel safe during some of the hardest moments of their lives. She sits beside them during forensic interviews, offers comfort during medical exams and therapy, greets families when they walk through our doors, and reminds all of us that healing can start with something as simple as unconditional love.

This year, Misty also got to be one of the official judges for Bone AppeTREAT and basically got to play queen for a day, just like she deserves.

We are so grateful to Dogs for Better Lives for believing in the power of facility dogs and for giving Misty this special honor. These dogs truly change lives, and we are incredibly lucky to witness that every day at the CAC.
