🎓☀️ Graduation season may be winding down, but the celebrations are far from over. As summer parties, cookouts, lake days, and family gatherings begin, it’s important to remember that not everyone drinks, and creating a welcoming environment for everyone matters. 💙

For parents and adults hosting gatherings, this is also a good time to remember that in Texas, it is illegal for anyone under 21 to consume alcohol. Setting clear expectations and keeping celebrations safe can help protect young people during a season when parties and social pressure often increase.

The image below shares practical reminders from the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism about hosting gatherings responsibly, including offering alcohol free drink options, avoiding activities centered around alcohol, and helping create safer environments for guests.

When an opioid overdose occurs, the brain's receptors are overwhelmed, causing breathing to slow down or stop. Naloxone acts as a powerful intervention by attaching to those same receptors and pushing the opioids out of the way.

By rapidly blocking the effects of opioids, it can restore normal breathing within minutes. Learn more about how to use naloxone and where to find it: https://bit.ly/3dspFNV

Not all drinks have the same amount of alcohol in them.

Awareness means keeping track how much you're drinking, and that starts with knowing how much alcohol is in your glass.

Not sure how many standard drinks are in your glass? Try the Alcohol Drink Size Calculator at https://bit.ly/47l2Kkb.
