Something special is floating on the Explore Lincoln City coast 🌊

Through the Marie Lamfrom Charitable Foundation and Finders Keepers program, three of the 130 glass floats hidden June 1–12 support WCST staff care. Each WCST float found and registered triggers a donation to staff wellness.

WCST was in Wolf Creek yesterday during Josephine County Food Bank food distribution. In addition to sharing information about our services, WCST provided clothing, toiletries, towels, washcloths, and blankets to community members.

Outreach like this helps ensure people know about WCST services and that help is available when they need it.

Sometimes support is responding to the hospital at 2am.

WCST advocates respond to the hospital because no one should have to navigate the aftermath of sexual assault alone. We’re there to provide support, information, options, advocacy, and simply a compassionate presence during a difficult moment.

Elder Abuse. It’s unimaginable, but it happens in our community more often than we would like to believe. We think the perpetrators are caregivers and scam artists, and sometimes they are. Surprisingly, though, the most common abusers are adult children and extended family members. Often addictions and mental health issues are factors, as well as greed and generational domestic violence. For more information about elder abuse call our 24/7 Crisis line at 541 479-9349.
