Women's Crisis Support Team "Dedicated to ending domestic violence and sexual assault in Josephine County through intervention, prevention, education and safe shelter."

WCST’s mission is to end the cycle of domestic violence and sexual assault through intervention, prevention, education and safe shelter. We provide victim advocacy, safe shelter, a 24/7 crisis line and more. In 1998 WCST opened the Talsunne House shelter to house up to 12 victims of domestic violence and sexual assault and their children. Each year approximately 100 women and 112 children use our s

afe shelter. Prevention is another aspect of WCST’s mission. Our community educators offer school and community support groups and presentations with emphasis on preventing physical, sexual, and emotional abuse. WCST has evolved into one of the community’s most active and respected non-profit organizations.

💜 Every Home a Safe Home 💜

At WCST, we believe communities invest in the services they value most.

That's why local partners—including AllCare Health, Southern Oregon Subaru, TOP LINE CFO, and others—have stepped up to match community donations during our Every Home a Safe Home campaign.

When you give, they give.

We're halfway through our campaign, but not yet halfway to our goal. Your support helps survivors of intimate partner violence right here in Josephine County.

Join us in building a safer community for everyone.

Donate today and double your impact.

Something special is floating on the Explore Lincoln City coast 🌊

Through the Marie Lamfrom Charitable Foundation and Finders Keepers program, three of the 130 glass floats hidden June 1–12 support WCST staff care. Each WCST float found and registered triggers a donation to staff wellness.

If you find one, please contact WCST so we can celebrate with you!

WCST is grateful to be included in this meaningful effort supporting the people who support survivors every day.

Abuse doesn’t have to leave bruises to cause harm.

Sometimes it looks like isolation from people you love.
Being made to question your reality.
Walking on eggshells.
Feeling controlled, diminished, or afraid.
Abuse takes many forms — and every form matters.

If something in your relationship feels unsafe, controlling, or harmful, you do not have to wait for it to “get worse” to reach out.

You deserve care, support, and safety — no matter what your experience looks like.

WCST was in Wolf Creek yesterday during Josephine County Food Bank food distribution. In addition to sharing information about our services, WCST provided clothing, toiletries, towels, washcloths, and blankets to community members.

Outreach like this helps ensure people know about WCST services and that help is available when they need it.

Every connection helps build a stronger, safer community.

Sometimes support is responding to the hospital at 2am.

WCST advocates respond to the hospital because no one should have to navigate the aftermath of sexual assault alone. We’re there to provide support, information, options, advocacy, and simply a compassionate presence during a difficult moment.

No pressure. No expectations. Just support.

Our sexual assault response advocates are available 24/7 for survivors in Josephine County.
Please share.

Elder Abuse. It’s unimaginable, but it happens in our community more often than we would like to believe. We think the perpetrators are caregivers and scam artists, and sometimes they are. Surprisingly, though, the most common abusers are adult children and extended family members. Often addictions and mental health issues are factors, as well as greed and generational domestic violence. For more information about elder abuse call our 24/7 Crisis line at 541 479-9349.
