Get ready to be SHOCKED (in a good way!) ⚡️ Our awesome Mr. Bath's Science 8 classes have been diving deep into the electrifying world of Electric Vehicles! 🚗💨

Forget just reading textbooks – these bright sparks are getting HANDS-ON, contrasting and comparing how gas-guzzlers and sleek EVs work. They're exploring everything from the hum of the motor to the science behind the battery, all while wrapping up their unit on electric and magnetic fields! 🧲💡

Who knew learning about advantages and disadvantages could be so… current? 😉

🎉Wednesday was a BLAST for our amazing 6th graders!🎉

Advisory had a serious upgrade with a super fun assembly where we asked our students to dream BIG! We challenged them to envision the IDEAL school - a place where everyone feels included, supported, and ready to shine. 🌟

We talked about building each other up, finding success in the classroom, and creating a truly inclusive environment for every single student. Talk about future leaders! 🙌

But it wasn't all just dreaming and brainstorming! We kicked things up a notch with some hilarious relay races that had everyone cheering along 🏃‍♀️💨 And to top it all off, we had some lucky winners snagging delicious In-N-Out gift cards! 🍔🍟

🚀 GPHS Bound! 🚀

Last week, our awesome 8th graders got a sneak peek into the high school life at Grants Pass High! It was an action-packed day exploring everything from whipping up culinary creations and building robots, to crafting masterpieces in art and diving into the world of health sciences. We even saw some sparks flying in metal manufacturing and woodshop! Talk about a hands-on learning experience! A huge thank you to the amazing GPHS teachers who opened their classrooms and shared their passion with our students. It was inspiring to see so many future possibilities!

We're SO proud to announce that North Middle School has been recognized as one of the top middle schools in Southern Oregon, AND one of the top 9% in the entire state of Oregon! 🤩

That's right, North is rocking it with amazing teachers, counselors, and a super supportive learning environment. U.S. News & World Report ranks things like test scores, how much the district spends on each student, and even how many counselors are there to help everyone out. And guess what? North aced it! 💯

This is a HUGE accomplishment and shows how dedicated everyone at North is to making it a fantastic place to learn and grow. So next time you see a North student or teacher, give 'em a high five! 👋 Let's celebrate this amazing achievement together! 🥳

The North BrainBowl team continued its winning streak against REACH last week, winning 37-21. We are looking forward to the rest of this season!

Brain Bowl is an academic competition made possible by the Southern Oregon Youth Programs department. If you've never seen one...the tournaments are a fast-paced quiz style competition where teams of students from local schools compete to answer questions from categories like science, math, or history to win points.
