20 minutes of research and you'll see its varified! The fact is, Alcohol and Domestic Abuse have been far more dangerous than COVID-19 has proven to be thus far.... Please, dont drink and drive, dont deal with your emotions using alcohol, and if you are a victim (or know a victim) dont look the other way! Call 911 and report it!

With the current stay at home order there is a very good chance that these issues will increase dramatically if we are not vigilant.

THIS IS, IN ITS SELF, SOMETHINNG TO PANIC ABOUT! STOP THE VIOLENCE AND DISTRUCTUON.

Stay safe out there, everyone.

Last Tuesday and Wednesday our DWI complains officers Dawn and Krystle went to help the Community at the pantry by passing out food boxes. Wednesday and Thursday Michael Dodds also went to help. In the three days the DWI compliance team was there we helped hand out over 300 boxes to families in need. Thank you to all the volunteers that have been helping out. We hope we can get back soon to help again.

Cibola County Crimestoppers

WARRANT ROUNDUP Pt. 2

Cibola County Crimestoppers is releasing the following list of individuals who are wanted on outstanding warrants in Grants.

If you are pictured here, we encourage you to turn yourself in to the Grants Police Department. You can call GPD dispatch to be picked up, 505-287-2984.

It is possible that some of the warrants cleared as they were being posted. We will update the post, by deleting the pictures then adding names cleared to the list below, as soon as the information is made available to us.

If anyone has information regarding a deceased individual on this warrant list, please contact the Grants Municipal Court at (505) 287-3835 to assist in clearing this person's record.

This would be helpful for us to obtain some type of verification in order to clear the warrant/record. We were told by the Court that they would require a death certificate, obituary, a funeral flyer, a OMI report, anything that can confirm the passing.

Unfortunately, Crimestoppers can only remove their face from Facebook; however the warrant and case will remain active in this court until family or friends help clear them.

We mean no disrespect in posting deceased individuals and we will make every effort in removing them. Please understand that there is not a process or database for the courts to screen warrants in checking for deceased individuals.

If you have a warrant for your arrest and Crimestoppers posts your picture and name it is NOT defamation of character because we will never post anything derogatory or negative. Crimestoppers has not solicited any information that is not public, nor have we put anyone's character down.

These outstanding warrant posts are intended to notify the public on individuals who have active warrants in an effort to clear these individuals or hold them accountable. If you have a warrant for your arrest, it is public record.

If you don't want your public information shared on social media, the best thing to do is to be responsible and not commit a violation, and secondly if you do get a ticket then follow through with getting it cleared up before a warrant is issued.

As the warrants are cleared or the individuals are captured, we will remove their faces from social media and simply place their name on the list below. There are hundreds of warrants in the Grants & Milan area, we haven't even begun to expand to the entire county...YET! Hopefully this deters people in the future and we can indeed make our streets safer.

My first love is my last love

My first love is my last love

I got flowers today. It wasn't my birthday or any other special day. We had our first argument last night. He said a lot of cruel things that really hurt me. I know he was sorry and didn't mean the things he said. Because I got flowers today.

I got flowers today. It wasn't our anniversary or any other special day. Last night, he threw me into a wall and started to choke me. It seemed like a nightmare. I couldn't believe it was real. I woke up this morning sore and bruised all over. I know he must be sorry Because he sent me flowers today.

I got flowers today. It wasn't Mother's Day or any other special day. Last night, he beat me up again. And it was much worse than all other times. If I leave him, what will I do? How will I take care of my kids? What about money? I'm afraid of him and scared to leave. But I know he must be sorry Because he sent me flowers today.

I got flowers today. Today was a very special day. It was the day of my funeral. Last night he finally killed me. He beat me to death. If only I had gathered enough courage and strength to leave him, I would not have gotten flowers today.

This poem is dedicated to all the victims and survivors of Domestic Violence.

You ask, why didn't she leave?

I ask, why did he hit?

I would like to share what my mom had to say about losing her dad and my grandpa to a drunk driver. Even if it only touches one persons heart, then it has done its job. “As Fathers Day approaches I wonder about the young man who took my Dad away from us. Does he ever think about the man that he killed that day because he was drunk? Does he think about the family that misses him everyday. If you have to drink everyday. You have a problem. If you think that you can sit down in that vehicle and drive after sipping on your beer all day. You have a problem. You think it can’t happen to you. Just because you haven’t been caught after drinking doesn’t mean that it won’t happen to you. Don’t be the cause of a families Sorrow. Please Don’t drink and drive. The loved one you kill might be one of your own.” Penny McDaugale
