The LCCC Pathfinders took one of what many called one of their favorite hikes yet during their recent adventure at beautiful Spring Valley Nature Preserve!

With rolling hills, peaceful creeks, winding wooded trails, and gorgeous scenery around every corner, this popular hike truly checked all the boxes from our hiker’s standpoint.

From start to finish, the group enjoyed the beauty of nature while sharing laughter, conversation, and encouragement along the trail.

Following the hike, participants gathered together to enjoy a complimentary lunch and time with friends thanks to the generous support of Park National Bank.

Happy Trails!

It was a perfect morning for our first Let’s Go Birding adventure — complete with brisk fresh air, beautiful scenery, and plenty of feathered fun at Infirmary Mound Park.

Local birding guide Chance Patznick led us around Mirror Lake, helping everyone spot birds, learn new tips, and enjoy the beauty of the park. From seasoned birders to first-time explorers, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

Missed our first “Birdfinders” outing? No worries — more adventures are on the way. Nature is calling, and the birds are waiting!

The LCCC was transformed into a lively tropical paradise for our Ticket to Paradise: A Tropical Health & Wellness Expo.

Guests enjoyed an island-inspired vibe while exploring various local resources and learning more about services that support health and wellness in our community.

At the event, the Passport to Paradise Game encouraged attendees to visit booths, collect stamps, and discover helpful information and giveaways along the way.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make our first Ticket to Paradise such a wonderful success!

Record-Breaking Rally!

Chair Volleyball at the LCCC reached a whole new level of excitement with an incredible 182 touches in a single point—yes, one point!

With each volley, the anticipation kept building, and by the end, the room was buzzing with cheers, laughter, and plenty of “Did that really just happen?!” moments.

But the real highlight is the camaraderie.

Teammates encouraged one another, celebrated every save, and shared in the joy from start to finish. It was a perfect example of LCCC at its very best—active, connected, and full of fun.

Want to be part of the action? Join us on Tuesdays and Thursdays — because the more, the merrier, and there’s always room for one more!

The LCCC partnered with the Licking County Health Department for an informative Adult CPR Training led by Stephanie Bennett.

From CPR and AED use to responding to choking, members gained hands-on experience and the confidence to act in an emergency.

As part of our commitment to community safety, AEDs are readily available across our campus, including in the Bryn Du Field House kitchen cabinet, the Bryn Du Mansion hall closet, and the Barn kitchen storage area.

A heartfelt thank you to the Licking County Health Department and Stephanie Bennett for sharing their expertise and helping our members feel prepared, capable, and empowered.

Because at LCCC, learning doesn’t just enrich lives — it can help save them.

LCCC Oscars Shine!

The LCCC rolled out the red carpet to guests for an afternoon of laughter and star-studded fun at the LCCC Oscars!

The highlight of the celebration was the presentation of the LCCC Oscars, where members honored one another with awards chosen by their peers.

Each winner proudly accepted a miniature Oscar trophy, recognizing everything from personality and participation to the special qualities that make our community so vibrant.

With smiles shining bright for the “paparazzi,” lots of laughter, and cheering friends, the event was a wonderful reminder that the true stars of LCCC are the incredible people who make up our community.

It was truly a red-carpet day to remember!
