Granville Fire Company

Granville Fire Company Engine - Tanker - Brush - Utility The Granville Fire Company has been around since 1945. We currently serve our community with five pieces of apparatus (Engine, Tanker, Utility, and Brush) with a membership of 25 Firefighters and other Administrative and Social members.

We are located in Granville Township, Mifflin County. The township is served by two other Fire Departments along with us, West Granville and Junction Fire Company. Our area is covered by a variety of settings from Mountains to the Juniata River to several small businesses. We are always looking for new members so feel free to stop by the Firehouse if you interested in joining.

Today at 1348 hours, Company 16 was dispatched to the 4700 block of SR 103 N for a shed fire. Captain 16 arrived on scene and found a fully involved shed fire endangering a residence. Tanker 16 arrived on scene and its crewed knocked the fire down quickly. Extensive overhaul was needed due to the shed containing an outdoor woodburner and a large amount of firewood.
Company 16 was assisted on scene by Truck 15.
Chief 16 had command.

This morning at 0325 hours, the Engine and Tanker responded to Wilson's Meats and Grocery for a structure fire. Chief 15 arrived on scene and found PSP Troopers, who were on patrol in the area extinguishing a smoker that was on fire. Co. 15 units pulled a line and extinguished fire that had spread to the ceiling. The Engine and Tanker crew assisted with overhaul.
