☀️Great night for training.

Tonight one of our topics was heat emergencies—because knowing the signs and acting quickly can save a life.

As temperatures rise, remember to:
💧 Stay hydrated / replenish electrolytes
🌳 Take breaks in the shade or air conditioning
👕 Wear lightweight, loose-fitting clothing
🚗 Never leave children, pets, or anyone unattended in a hot vehicle
⚠️ Watch for signs of heat exhaustion or heat stroke, including heavy sweating, weakness, confusion, dizziness, or loss of consciousness.

Stay cool, look out for your neighbors, and don’t hesitate to call for help when something doesn’t seem right. ❤️🚑

One of our members recently visited a local daycare to read to the children, reminding us that being part of the Rescue Squad goes beyond emergency response.

Community outreach like this helps build trust and connection with our youngest community members, showing them we’re also their neighbors and friends.

Congratulations to Our Graduates! 🎓🚑

Today, we celebrate four members of Granville Rescue Squad on their high school graduation! Granville CSD Poultney High School Long Trail School in Dorset Vt Cambridge Central School

From beginning as Junior Members (ages 16-17) to one of them becoming valuable Probationary Members and the other three close behind him, they have already shown what it means to serve with dedication, compassion, and commitment. Balancing school, training, and volunteering is no small accomplishment, and they should be incredibly proud of everything they’ve achieved.

As they celebrate this milestone, we also celebrate the bright future ahead of them. Thank you for choosing to give back to our community, we are grateful to have you as part of our Rescue Squad family.

Congratulations on your graduation, and best wishes as you begin this exciting new chapter. We know you’ll continue to make a positive difference wherever life takes you. 🎉🚑

Many nights you can find several of our members at the ball fields watching games and some even coach some of the teams.
