We just wanted to let everyone know that our target date for opening this season is Saturday June 1st. We may possibly need a little grace on that date if the rebuild on some of the structures takes a few more days.

The crushed shelter will most likely have to be under construction the first few weeks we are open.

Membership rates will remain unchanged from last year. We will add a post with those details as well. Sales of those memberships should be available around May 4th.

Again, we greatly appreciate the support and care that has been given by the community and former guests.

Attached are pictures of the Old Shelter after a surgical demolition. She served all of us well for 60 years! Stay tuned...

The beginning of many thank yous for all of the support and generosity we have received from so many businesses, family, friends, community members....We are gaining on it!

Chip Blanchard with Blanchard Construction Company. Worked himself to death for three days from chipping debris to running equipment.

Ken Rittenhouse owner of John Klauder Landscape and Design - he had his crews and equipment down for two days blasting through the debris. Ken you are awesome!

Jeremy Johnson with Robertson Construction sent down two large excavators, a skid steer and dump truck with operators to help get the large debris.

Cory, Carrie, Grady and Aubrey Hartfield, he brought his big Kubota and dump trailer, cut down multiple hanging trees and got a nice fire going. Cory's pal Trent Jeffrey came along too and spent time cutting trees.

Justin, Jonas and Joy Hartfield. Joy knows how to run a chainsaw like a master! Justin set a phone pole and worked endlessly cleaning up the grounds. Jonas learned how to do the levers on a Forlift.

Mark Stone & Jesse Stone - both worked endlessly today. Jesse set the phone pole too! New skill for your resume.

Lisa Englefield - she has been supporting us on social media and working endlessly as well to get the place cleaned up.

Ben Barton -.came down and waded across the water to put up the American Flag. He also spent many hours cutting down trees, dragging them out of the water and loading logs.

Diane Marshall - former neighbor spent most of the entire day feeding our massive chipper. She's tough...

Allen Stevens- lifelong friend and childhood member of the Lake. He ran the chipper all day and his son Hunter helped too.

Mendy Overmyer - chipper helper too! Came from Columbus to lend her old friends a hand.
