What We Know -
Currently, there are 42 customers without power in Grapevine. There is still a need to conserve, electricity, gas, and water to help our neighbors.
What We Are Doing:
Emergency Water Access Due to Busted Pipes.
There has been no interruption to the City’s water supply. However, we know that many of you may have chosen to turn off your water due to busted pipes. If you have water containers you would like to fill, all five Grapevine Fire Stations will be open for that purpose. If the Fire Company is out, they will usually be back shortly. If you have electricity, you can also use snow to flush toilets.
Station 1 - 701 Turner Road
Station2 - 3098 Dove Road
Station 3 - 3100 Timberline Drive
Station 4 - 4500 Merlot Avenue
Station 5 - 2801 Grapevine Mills Boulevard
Trash and Recycling
Because of poor road conditions, trash and recycling will resume on Monday.
Dumpsters for Debris Removal
Due to poor road conditions, most dumpsters will not be delivered tomorrow. We currently have dumpsters at the following location and will be adding more as soon as they can be delivered.
422 Church Street (the former Senior Activities Center).
The REC Will Be Open to Residents Non-Members, Library Community Room Open for Warming
We realize that many of you are still dealing with power and water issues related to internal damage in your residence but the need for overnight accommodations has been resolved and the warming shelter at the REC will close this afternoon. Tomorrow, the community room at the Grapevine Public Library will be open from 8am-5p as an option to charge devices or just get warm. The REC will reopen for regular activities on Saturday at 7am and will welcome resident non-members who may need the facility to shower, get a cup of coffee, or just charge your phone.
Contractors Registered With City
Some residents have asked for a list of the contractors registered to work in Grapevine That list is available at https://app.mygov.us/lr/citizen/search.php?citiesID=325&modulesID=1 . This is not meant to be an endorsement of any of these providers, just options available. Governor Abbott has issued an order that will allow plumbers from out of state to work in Texas as well. For more information about hiring a plumber visit https://tsbpe.texas.gov/consumer-information/.
We have had questions regarding hotel availability as people begin to make repairs on their homes. The Grapevine Convention and Visitors Bureau is tracking hotel inventory as it changes and power is restored to properties. At this time, availability is very limited. Freeze Related Water Leaks
If your house has been without power for an extended time, the pipes may begin to thaw and sometimes burst or sustain leaks at that time. For information on how to minimize damage in this situation, please visit tdi.texas.gov/consumer/storms/recoverytips.html.
