🚨 Paragon + CZ at Davis-Monthan = An Incredible Turnout 🚨

Paragon Brokerage was proud to support another impactful Exchange event with former SEAC Ramón Colón-López (CZ) at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base.

More than 250 copies of Carnivore Leadership were sold, and a long line formed as service members and families waited for the opportunity to meet CZ and have their books signed.

For those who may not know, CZ served 33 years in the United States Air Force, culminating as the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the highest-ranking enlisted position in the U.S. military. A former Special Operations Pararescueman, his leadership was forged through real world combat experience and service at the highest levels of our Armed Forces.

The energy in the store was undeniable. What began as a book signing became a meaningful moment of leadership, mentorship, and connection inside the Exchange.

A special thanks to Davis Monthan General Manager Lindsay Estrada-Perez, who worked tirelessly to make this event a reality. The response from the community was incredible, and we are grateful to be part of opportunities like this.

Paragon was proud to sponsor the launch of former SEAC Ramón 'CZ' Colón-López’s book tour at Keesler Air Force Base.

CZ’s story is remarkable.

He rose from special operations to become the highest-ranking enlisted member in the U.S. military (SEAC) — a journey forged through adversity, discipline, and hard-earned experience. Along the way, he developed and championed what he calls Carnivore Leadership — a mindset grounded in action.

Not reactive.
Not passive.
Not waiting for conditions to be perfect.

Carnivore leaders move first. They take initiative. They own outcomes.

That message resonates — especially with the troops. CZ is known for straight talk, clear standards, and servant leadership. He believes leaders aren’t simply born or manufactured. They’re forged under pressure.

The turnout reflected that impact. Exchange shoppers were eager to meet him, hear his perspective firsthand, and have him sign his book, Carnivore Leadership.

Events like this are a reminder that the Army & Air Force Exchange Service doesn’t just operate retail stores — it creates meaningful experiences for the military community.

Paragon is honored to support upcoming engagements with former SEAC Ramón “CZ” Colón-López (ret.), one of the most respected enlisted leaders in modern U.S. military history.

CZ is a retired senior noncommissioned officer of the U.S. Air Force who served 33 years in uniform, culminating as the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (SEAC), the highest-ranking enlisted position in the U.S. military. In that role, he advised on the readiness, morale, and effectiveness of 2.4 million service members worldwide.

His leadership was forged through experience, not theory. A former Special Operations Pararescueman, CZ deployed repeatedly to combat zones, including Afghanistan, leading under fire and in crisis where lives depended on decisive action. His service spans Joint Special Operations Command, United States Africa Command, United States Air Forces Central Command, and the Pentagon.

CZ is the first enlisted member of the U.S. Armed Forces to receive the Defense Distinguished Service Medal and is also a recipient of multiple Bronze Stars, the Air Force Combat Action Medal, and numerous joint and service level leadership honors.

As part of these engagements, CZ will be joining the Exchange for book signing events promoting his new book, Carnivore Leadership, alongside on base speaking engagements by invitation of command.

Keesler Air Force Base on February 12 from 11:00 to 13:00
Davis Monthan Air Force Base on February 20 from 11:30 to 13:30

Paragon was proud to sponsor a Veterans Day giveaway at Fort Bliss, hosted in partnership with Sandpiper of California. Service members had the chance to enter a drawing for one of SOC’s premium backpacks — and of course, the five-foot demo pack stole the show, with countless service members and their families stopping to snap a photo with it throughout the day.

Events like this reflect the kind of demos Paragon is committed to: supporting, engaging, and giving back to the service members who give so much to us.

Today, we celebrate 250 years of the United States Marine Corps.

Since 1775, Marines have stood at the forefront of defending our nation. Their history is written in courage at home and abroad, and in the quiet commitment to brotherhood, discipline, and honor that continues long after service ends.

Marines are known not only for how they fight, but for how they lead. For showing up. For holding the standard. For carrying traditions that have shaped our military and our country for generations.

This week we celebrated a remarkable milestone—CW5 L. Wayne Brown (Ret.) turning 80.

After 37 years of active duty, Chief Brown hung up his uniform and became Paragon’s Chief Financial Officer. He never stopped serving. His example—as a Soldier and as a loyal Exchange shopper—has shaped our purpose from day one: to make sure service members, veterans, and their families have access to the best products and services at the best prices.

Wayne’s integrity, steadiness, and quiet excellence are woven into Paragon’s DNA. We are who we are because of the way he has led and lived.
