Warming Shelter - NOW OPEN
The REC, 1175 Municipal Way, is offering their facility as a warming shelter. Please call one of the numbers listed below for additional information.

Helpful Q and A information:
- When did the shelter open? Just before 11am
- Are you following any covid protocols? We are not screening anyone at the door, but families are asked to remain socially distanced from others, and masks are mandatory.
- How long will the shelter be open? At least through the night and we will reassess the need tomorrow.
- What about food? Families are encouraged to bring food/snacks to the warming shelter.
- What about pets? Families can bring their pets, but are asked to have them in a crate or kennel, and to also bring food and water for their animals.
- Can people leave and come back (if they want to check on their house or power)? Yes
- Is WiFi available so they can check on power updates? Not at this time - we are running on a generator but that may change.
- What happens if it reaches capacity? We will work to find other facilities.
- How can people get to the shelter if they are afraid to drive? If people call the number, we will work with them on transportation.
- Should people try to drive to the shelter? If they are able and feel comfortable, that would be best and allow us to utilize our resources for those that don’t have transportation.
- Do people need to bring blankets - We are working on supplying the shelter but anything that can be brought from home would be helpful.

The Women’s Division of the Grapevine Chamber was formed in 1965. The purpose was to foster the spirit of cultural and commercial progress. 54 years later we are still encouraging goodwill, fellowship, business networking, and the advancement of charitable and educational interests in the Grapevine area.
