MAXimum Chances provides scholarships for many of our students at Journey Learning Center and them, like most nonprofits, are in need of assistance.

MAXimum Chances is doing a raffle drawing for a 2019 Master’s Flag signed by TIGER WOODS! A $250 donation will get your name entered into the drawing! Winner announces December 31st

We hope that you all have been safe and well during this unprecedented time. 2020 has thrown the world for quite a loop! I'm sure we are not alone in looking forward to ushering in 2021 and hopeful it will move us towards a sense of normalcy again!

It's definitely been a year of reflection and appreciation. We certainly missed hosting our MAXImum Chances golf tournament and all of the other opportunities we usually would have had to see everyone in person!

This year has been very difficult for most non profits and we are no exception. The special needs community has been hit extremely hard. Online schooling can be a near impossible scenario and often requires a parents full time supervision. Those that require hands on assistance just haven't been able to get it and the lack of structure has thrown many, including Max for a loop. If this funding has been important in the past, it's reached critical levels this year.

We would be extremely grateful for your consideration this year in your year end giving. Every $250 donated will receive a raffle ticket for a 2019 signed Tiger Woods Masters flag! Buy as many entries as you'd like! We will do a live video of Max drawing the winner on December 31st!

Journey Pediatric Rehabilitation

The wonderful Occupational Therapists at Journey Pediatric Rehabilitation provide OT services to all of our students here at Journey Learning Center! Check out their brand new FB page!

Journey Pediatric Rehabilitation was established in June 2004, by experienced occupational therapists specializing in sensory processing disorders (SPD), autism, learning difficulties, handwriting, and other neurological/neuromuscular disorders.

MAXimum Chances

Tomorrow is the big day, North Texas Giving Day! We thought we'd share a little more with you about why we do what we do here at MAXimum Chances. We meet so many amazing families, right here in your own town, who are struggling to pay simple bills let alone provide medical and educational needs for their children with Autism. Most of the children we meet lack basic life skills from talking to counting, reading, communicating their basic needs and so much more. The therapies needed to help these kids thrive costs upwards of $40,000 per year per student. Not only do we strive to help provide this funding, but we also pride ourselves on partnering with families to help them understand Autism more and find the resources they so desperately need. We work with wonderful people like our friends at Journey Learning Center, Kotsanis Institute, White Bridle, Center for Therapeutic Strategies to bring educational and medical needs to the kids in our program. Over the past few years we've met some truly remarkable children and watched them go from getting by to thriving. We are so grateful to everyone who has partnered with us and continue to be in awe of your help! If you know of anyone who plans to participate in #NTXGivingDay and hasn't yet chosen their charity, please consider sharing our cause with them. Thank you all so very much!

Grapevine library making history with accommodations for those with sensory needs

Grapevine public library is now the state's FIRST sensory-inclusive library

"The library has committed to improvements to accommodate guests with sensory needs or sensory processing disorders"

Grapevine has the first public library in the state of Texas to be certified as sensory inclusive, city officials say. The library will assist visitors who have sensory needs, such as those with autism and PTSD.
